Wanted to make sure you all had information on ASU's per diem rates for lodging and meals--the university will only reimburse for lodging up to a certain rate (the 'per diem'), depending on what part of the country you are staying in. The attached list is divided by state and then by city. The lodging rate listed is per night (exclusive of taxes)--so no one should be staying at a Marriott, more like a Super 8 or Comfort Inn! As for the meals per diem, the dollar amount listed on the pdf is a daily rate (which breaks down into breakfast, lunch, and dinner allotments).
An example of this in practice would be Austin, Texas. Referencing the attached pdf chart, the lodging per diem is $85 (so I would need to find a hotel that was less than $85/night exclusive of taxes), and the meal per diem is $49 (which breaks down to $10 allotted for breakfast, $14 for lunch, and $25 for dinner).
See me with questions!
